What is a Para Ordnance LDA?

LDA stands for “Light Double Action”. Thus, the LDA is not a true double action, but rather a semi-cocked action, where the action of the slide pre-cocks the action most of the way, leaving the internal hammer itself, fully cocked. Actually, it’s the outer hammer that’s actually cocking the inner hammer.

Is Para Ordnance 1911 Good?

Those 1911s have a lot of recoil. They have a lot of muzzle rise and they, to me, just are not fun guns to shoot, but the Para 1911 is so soft-shooting that you almost wonder how the slide is coming all the way to the rear and chambering another round. I really like shooting this gun.

Is Remington still making guns?

The firearms side of Remington is now officially known as RemArms. Back in May of this year, there were reports that Remington was gearing up to reopen its Ilion plant. RemArms hired back 230 workers, with plans for starting production with the Model 870 shotgun line.

Can you look up gun serial numbers?

Every gun has a serial number. The serial number can tell you the manufacturer’s date and model. If you want to look up information about a gun, you can contact the gun manufacturer or your local police, or visit online databases to find out whether the gun is stolen.

What can a serial number tell you?

The idea behind serial numbers is to identify a specific item, much like how a fingerprint identifies a specific person. Instead of some names or numbers that specify a whole range of products, a serial number is intended to provide a unique number to one device at a time.

How does Para LDA work?

The trigger has its own torsion return spring. When the shooter pulls the LDA’s trigger, the draw bar causes the outer hammer to move to the rear, against the light pressure of the outer hammer’s torsion spring (hence the Light, in the LDA acronym, the double action pull, which cocks the hammer is very light).

What is LDA action?

Thanks. I’m actually buying a LDA soon. It stands for “Light Double Action” and it’s exactly that. Your initial DA trigger pull is so light, it’s almost as your pulling a SA trigger, VERY minimal effort.
